Get Started

SAZA can be accessed on the official website, www.saza.com.ng. The homepage gives an introduction to SAZA and highlights its features. However, an account will have to be created with SAZA in order to use the features.

  • Navigate to the ‘GET STARTED’ button on the top right corner of the screen.



  • If you are new to SAZA, fill in your details on the pop-up form and then click on ‘create account’.




  • If you are a returning user to SAZA, click on the ‘Login now’ button and enter your username and password.



After creating an account and logging in, you will be taken to the account overview page.

HOW TO CREATE OR LINK STELLAR ACCOUNT

The account overview page shows a summary of your Stellar account. However, you will need to either create a new Stellar account or link an existing one.



The following steps will guide you in creating and linking a Stellar account.


  • A passphrase will need to be created in order to complete some actions. This is a string chosen by the user to verify all its transactions. Note that this is different from the user password. Set a passphrase by clicking on the ‘Set Passphrase’ button.



  • Enter a new passphrase.

  • Confirm the new passphrase.

  • Click on the ‘Change Passphrase button’.


  • To create a new Stellar account, enter your transaction passphrase in the ‘Create a New Account’ section.

  • Click on the ‘create account’ button.



The response will be like the image below.



  • If you already have an existing Stellar account, enter the Secret Key, Transaction Passphrase, and click on the ‘Link Account’ button.



After all these are done, your account overview page should look like so.


HOW TO ENABLE 2-FACTOR AUTHENTICATION

You can now enable 2FA from the settings menu. It uses time based one-time passwords as tokens and these can be generated by syncing your device with the secret key provided using apps like Google Authenticator, Duo Security, Authy, etc. Follow the steps below to enable 2FA.


  • Navigate to the ‘Settings’ tab on the menu.

  • Scroll down and select the ‘2FA for Transactions’ option.

  • Click on ‘Enable’ to enable 2FA.



  • Enter the OTP Secret or scan the QR code in your TOTP app.

  • Enter the OTP Token generated from the TOTP app into the ‘Enter Token’ text box.

  • Click on the ‘Activate’ button.



Once activated, all transactions will require the token before it is approved.

HOW TO DISABLE 2FA

  • Select ‘2FA for Transactions’ from the options in settings.

  • Enter your password.

  • Enter the OTP Token.

  • Click on the ‘Disable’ button.


HOW TO CREATE AN ASSET

One of Stellar’s most powerful features is the ability to trade any kind of asset, like US dollars, Nigerian naira, bitcoins, special coupons, or just about anything you like. Any account can issue assets on the Stellar network. Entities that issue assets are called anchors.


To create an asset:


  • Navigate to the ‘Create Asset’ tab on the menu.



  • Enter the Issuing Account.

  • Enter the Distributing Account.

  • Enter the amount of assets to be created.

  • Select the Asset type to be created and enter the Asset code.

  • Enter your transaction passphrase.

  • If you have 2FA enabled, enter the OTP Token.

  • Click on the ‘Submit’ button to complete the operation.


HOW TO MAKE A PAYMENT

The make payment operation allows you to send an amount in a specific asset to a destination account.


  • The first step in making a payment is to navigate to the ‘Make a Payment’ tab on the menu.



A payment can be done by either selecting a contact in the address book or by manually entering a destination account (Account ID or Stellar address) of the recipient. Ensure that:


  • A contact is selected or destination account is entered.

  • An amount is entered.

  • An Asset Type is selected.

  • A memo is entered. The memo can have your email address or any description you see fit.

  • Enter your transaction passphrase to verify the operation.

  • If you have 2FA enabled, enter the OTP Token.

  • When all the above are done, click on the ‘Submit’ button at the bottom left of the screen to make payment.



HOW TO SEND PAYMENT TO EMAIL ADDRESSES

Sending to email is another means of making payments with SAZA. It can work for both recipients with Stellar accounts and those without. However, payments can only be sent out in Lumens.


  • To send payment to an email, navigate to the ‘Send Lumens to email’ tab.



  • Enter the recipient's email address.

  • Enter the amount to send in Lumens.

  • Enter a brief memo.

  • Enter your transaction passphrase to verify the operation.

  • If you have 2FA enabled, enter the OTP Token.

  • Click on the ‘Submit’ button on the bottom right of the screen to send payment.


HOW TO CLAIM LUMENS

You can claim Lumens that was sent to you via email by following these easy steps.


  • Navigate to the ‘Claim lumens’ tab in the menu.

  • Enter your email in the ‘recipient email’ section.

  • Enter the claim code in the ‘Claim Code’ section.

  • Enter your passphrase in the ‘Transaction Passphrase’ section.

  • If you have 2FA enabled, enter the OTP Token.

  • Click on the ‘submit’ button.


HOW TO REVOKE LUMENS

You can reclaim Lumens that you sent out via email that have not been claimed by the recipient yet.


  • Navigate to the ‘Revoke Lumens’ tab in the menu.


It shows a list of Lumens that have been sent out. This list highlights the recipient’s email, amount that was sent, and its status (claimed or not claimed). You can only revoke payments that are yet to be claimed.


HOW TO RECEIVE PAYMENTS

You can receive payments made into your account by following these steps.


  • Navigate to the ‘Receive Payment’ tab on the menu



There are three options for receiving payments. However, each one of them allows you to performs the required operation. The next steps show how you can make use of the various options for receive payment.


  • Your Account ID. Other account can easily make payments to you by addressing it to your Account ID.

  • SAZA plugin. Follow the instructions on the image below.



  • Your Stellar Address. You can set a username for your Stellar account instead of using the long Account ID. This can be done by clicking on ‘click here’.



  • Enter a username.

  • Enter your transaction passphrase.

  • If you have 2FA enabled, enter the OTP Token.

  • Click on the ‘Set Stellar Address’ button.


VIEW TRANSACTION HISTORY

Transaction history keeps a record of all the transactions that have been made on your Stellar account. Your transaction history can be viewed by:


  • Navigating to the ‘Transactions’ tab on the menu. This page shows all the transactions made on your Stellar account.


VIEW AND CREATE NEW CONTACTS

SAZA gives its users the chance to create a contact list and view this list at any given time. To add a new contact, execute the following steps.


  • Navigate to the ‘Address book’ tab in the menu.

  • Your contact list is shown on the page. Click on the ‘’Add Contact’ button to add a new contact.



  • Enter the contact name in the ‘name’ section.

  • Enter the Stellar Account ID of the contact in the ‘Account ID’ section.

  • Click on the ‘Submit’ button.


HOW TO ADD AN ANCHOR

Adding an anchor is very simple. All you have to do is to:


  • Navigate to the ‘Anchors’ tab on the menu.

  • Enter the URL of your anchor.

  • Enter your transaction passphrase.

  • If you have 2FA enabled, enter the OTP Token.

  • Click on the ‘Add Anchor’ button.


ACCOUNT OPERATIONS

There are various account operations that can be carried out on SAZA. These operations can be accessed on the ‘Account Operations’ tab in the menu.


HOW TO CHANGE TRUST

The change trust operation allows you to create, update, or delete a trustline.


  • Click on change trust.


The first section of the page displays the list of trustlines that have while the second section is to create a new trustline.


To create a new trustline:


  • Select an Asset Type.

  • Enter a trust limit. Leave empty to default to the max int64. Set to 0 to remove the trustline.

  • Enter your transaction passphrase.

  • If you have 2FA enabled, enter the OTP Token.

  • Click on Submit.


HOW TO ALLOW TRUST

In order to allow a trust, complete the following steps.


  • Click on allow trust.

  • Enter a trusting account (the one being authorised) in the trustor section.

  • Enter the asset code being authorised.

  • Select True or False. True to authorise the line, false to deauthorise.

  • Enter your transaction passphrase.

  • If you have 2FA enabled, enter the OTP Token.

  • Click on Submit.


HOW TO MANAGE AN OFFER

The manage offer operation allows you to create, update, or delete an offer. The manage offer page contains a list of offers made by the account and a list of trustlines for assets in account with limits. To create a new offer:


  • Click on manage an offer.

  • Select a selling asset type.

  • Select a buying asset type.

  • Enter the total amount you are selling.

  • Enter the price (exchange rate ratio - selling/buying)

  • Enter Offer ID.

  • Enter your transaction passphrase.

  • If you have 2FA enabled, enter the OTP Token.

  • Click on Submit.


HOW TO CREATE A PASSIVE OFFER

A passive offer is an offer that does not act on and take a reverse offer of equal price. Instead, they only take offers of lesser price.


To create a new passive offer:


  • Click on create passive offer.

  • Select a selling asset type.

  • Select a buying asset type.

  • Enter the total amount you are selling.

  • Enter the price (exchange rate ratio - selling/buying)

  • Enter Offer ID.

  • Enter your transaction passphrase.

  • If you have 2FA enabled, enter the OTP Token.

  • Click on Submit.


PATH PAYMENT

Path payment sends an amount in a specific asset to a destination account through a path of offers.


The following steps will guide you in making a path payment.


  • Click on Path payment.

  • Enter Account ID or Stellar address of the recipient.

  • Select a selling asset type.

  • Enter the maximum amount of sendAsset to send.

  • Select a destination asset type.

  • Enter the amount the destination will receive.

  • Enter a memo.

  • Enter your transaction passphrase.

  • If you have 2FA enabled, enter the OTP Token.

  • Click on Submit.



SET OPTIONS

Set various options related to your stellar account.


  • Click on Set Options.

  • Set various options related to your stellar account.

  • Enter your transaction passphrase.

  • If you have 2FA enabled, enter the OTP Token.

  • Click on Submit.



HOW TO MERGE ACCOUNTS

In order to merge accounts, complete the following steps.


  • Click on merge account.

  • Enter a destination account where all your XLM balance will be sent.

  • Enter your transaction passphrase.

  • If you have 2FA enabled, enter the OTP Token.


MANAGE DATA OPERATION

Manage data allows you set, modify, or delete a data entry that is attached to a particular account.


  • Click on manage data.

  • Enter an entry name.

  • Enter the value of the data entry

  • Enter your transaction passphrase.

  • If you have 2FA enabled, enter the OTP Token.

  • Click on submit.


SETTINGS

Account settings can be modified from the ‘Settings’ tab on the menu.

HOW TO MODIFY ACCOUNT DETAILS


  • Select ‘Account details’ from the options in settings.

  • To view your secret key, enter your transaction passphrase and click on the ‘Show Secret’ button.



  • To delete account, enter your SAZA password and click on the ‘Yes, Delete Account’ button. Note that this action is irreversible.



HOW TO CHANGE PASSWORD

  • Select ‘Change Password’ from the options in settings.

  • Enter new password.

  • Confirm new password.

  • Enter old password.

  • If you have 2FA enabled, enter the OTP Token.

  • Click on the ‘Change Password’ button.
